Muy cerca de las grutas de Balancanché se encuentra el parque Ecoarqueologico de ik kil , un complejo en el que su principal atractivo natural es un cenote de facil acceso ya que tiene unas amplias escaleras excavadas para poder llegar a él sin dificultad.
Cuenta con una plataforma con escaleras para poder entrar al agua tranquilamente, y del otro lado se encuentra otra plataforma donde puede uno aventarse un buen clavadito. Una caracteristica de este cenote es que tiene dos aberturas hechas a un costado de las escaleras para poder obtener otras vistas del lugar, además de las caidas de agua que se bombea constantemente para que se formen las caidas de agua.
Las instalaciones son excelentes , cuenta con duchas, baños y vestidores para grupos,salvavidas, tienda de artesanias, restaurant , estacionamiento, renta de chalecos salvavidas ($30.00) y area de descanso todo esto puede usarse por el cover de $70.00 que se cobra en una caseta que se encuentra antes de la entrada al estacionamiento. Adicionalmente se puede alquilar una villa para pasar la noche en el lugar por lo que podria usarse como base para poder visitar todos los sitios que se encuentran cerca, incluyendo Balancanché y Chichén Itzá.
Se llega aqui desde Mérida por la carretera libre a Cancún, poco despues de Chichén itza se puede observar la entrada, todo se encuentra debidamente señalizado por lo que es dificil perderse.
